Stress has serious implications for organisational performance, resulting in increased employee absence, staff turnover and reduced productivity. In addition, stress is a major cause of conflict at work it undermines positive employee relations and can also lead to reputational damage. All employers have legal responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work to ensure the health safety and welfare at work of their employees. This includes minimising the risk of stress-related illness or injury to employees. In many organisations, the hardest part of tackling stress is getting owners/ top management buy-in.
This event aims to give you a better understanding of how the brain functions, how stress can affect people’s lives and will look at management techniques, wellbeing strategies and sickness absence management.
