School Counsellor
We are looking to appoint a qualified counsellor for 26 hours per week to work in a local secondary school for the 2017/18 academic year. You will need a qualification in working with adolescents (or be working towards one). You will offer counselling to students and support to staff and students through drop in sessions. You will work with the school staff team to facilitate a whole school approach to good mental health and wellbeing. You will need to be able to engage young people with complex issues such as anger, anxiety, self-harm, low mood, and past trauma enabling them to move on and fulfil their true potential.
Deadline for applications is midday on Friday 16th June.
Interviews will take place at the school on Tuesday 4th July.
