Reach Out Music
Festival 2018 is the first of many and will be held over the course of 12 hours from mid-day to midnight, across two venues in Harrogate: Blues Bar and The Empress, on Saturday 20th January 2018. Reach Out is a not-for-profit event and everyone involved: the organisers, the venues and the acts, are giving up their time for free. All money raised will be split equally between three charities:
CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) – provides a campaign and helpline to help prevent male suicide in the UK. www.thecalmzone.net
Wellspring Therapy and Training – is a counselling and training centre providing affordable psychological support for people in distress. https://wellspring-old.flatcapsites.com
Papyrus – is the national charity for the prevention of young suicide. http://www.papyrus-uk.org
This event is organised by a group of people who have joined forces following the loss of a friend through suicide. They hope that the annual music festival will bring people together, raise funds for key charities and raise awareness of the issues surrounding anxiety, depression and suicide.
Even if you are unable to attend the event, all donations are welcomed but a suggested minimum donation of £5 is hoped for. If you are coming to join us on the day donations can be made via this site: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/reachoutfestival (please bring along your confirmation email to the event) or at the event itself.
